The Chronicles of Bianca

"Bloom where you are planted."

I won't bore you with the details of how I stumbled across this craft as a way to redecorate my house, blah blah blah (even though it's true). In all actuality, I didn't stumble across anything. The craft sought me out and has been a major part of my soul for the past few years. As I sit here and type my bio, it hits me: It is not where I come from, but where I am going that matters. I have a reached a point in my life where looking back is futile. Looking forward is where the real fulfillment is. So, that's what I would like to talk about in this brief, yet insightful blurb about my life and artistry.

Empathizing with the existence of the Lotus Flower, I consider everyday to be a new opportunity to "bloom where I am planted". This miracle flower is the epitome of my life and art expression: a beautiful flower, rising like a fiery phoenix in the dirty swamps, undeterred by the elements of which it was rooted.

I am the wearer of many hats. Furniture artist, yes. But I'm also a wife. A mother. A photographer. A worship leader, just to name a few. Art has always been a big part of my life. God has given me many talents. I give all glory to Him.

Someone once told me "If it's a job worth doing, it's a job worth doing right." I take great pride in my work, never taking the easy way out. Countless hours of research, trial and error has brought me to where I am today.

Every piece goes through my intake process where it gets a thorough inspection and a game plan is developed. Yes, furniture talks! It tells me what it wants to look like when it's finished. From there, the transformation begins! Cleaning, repairs, sanding, priming, painting, sealing... No stone is left unturned.

I use professional grade materials available to contractors. This means lasting quality without sacrificing the integrity of the piece.

People have often told me that I have an utmost respect for the pieces I work on. They're right. If they could only be a fly on the wall of my atelier. They would see not only do I pour love into each piece, but sweat and even sometimes tears!

I hope by visiting my site you find what you are looking for. Whether it be a piece to upgrade your space, inspiration, or even just a smile to brighten your day. Kick off your shoes and stay a while!

Be blessed, and thanks for stopping by,

"For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable."
